Fixtrail
A field app with job lists, photo capture, signatures and offline sync.
Overview
Fixtrail is a concept mobile app for field technicians. It gives each technician their day at a glance, captures photos and signatures on site, and keeps working with no signal, syncing when the network returns.
The challenge
Field work happens in basements and rural areas with poor coverage. The concept had to be fully usable offline, capture evidence on site, and never lose a completed job, while staying simple enough to use with gloves on.
Our approach
We designed the app offline-first: the day’s jobs live on the device, every change is queued, and sync resolves conflicts sensibly when coverage returns. Capture flows are three taps or fewer, with large targets and clear states.
